Inhon Notebook Warranty Service

Warranty Period

2 years from the date of the original purchase invoice. Batteries and power supplies are covered for 1 year, while non-Inhon brand components and accessories are covered for 6 months.
  1. Warranty period starts from original product purchase invoice date (hereinafter referred to as the invoice date):
    If the warranty date is taken from the invoice, the invoice must shall contain the product model and product purchase information, such as place of purchase.
  2. If damage is sustained due to improper use, or dismantling or disassembly by user or non-Inhon engineers, the product cannot be covered by the warranty.
  3. If the product serial number sticker is removed, altered, rendered illegible, or does not match model specifications, Inhon reserves the right to void the product warranty.
  4. According to Article 19 of the Consumer Protection Law: Consumers of a mail order or door-to-door sale, if unwilling to purchase the goods received by them, may return the goods or notify in writing the business operators to rescind the purchase contract within 7 days upon receipt such goods without stating reasons or paying any expenses or the purchase price.
  5. After a product repair, Inhon provides a 6-month warranty on the repair. Should the same defect occur again during this period, the consumer will receive a free repair service (if the original product warranty on the machine has expired, the repair service warranty will be in effect).
  6. Inhon provides 24-hour repair service completion (starting from time product is received at Inhon; excludes paid maintenance services).
  7. Should any of the following circumstances be present during Inhon computer product service warranty, Inhon may at its discretion charge maintenance fees:
    • Unable to confirm/prove whether warranty period has expired product warranty period.
    • Failure resulting from product usage in inappropriate environments as described in product handbook, guide, or operating manual.
    • The product is damaged by force majeure (natural disasters, floods, fires, earthquakes, lightning, typhoon, insects, etc.), external damage (scratches, falls, broken latches, impacts, cracks, factures, etc.), or other abnormal factors.
    • Damage caused by unauthorized third-party installation, accretion, expansion, modification, or repair with unauthorized or unrecognized parts.
    • Software troubleshooting, system re-installation, software installation, or other services performed by parties other than Inhon.
    • Damage to computer due to customers voluntarily modifying operating system, re-planning, partitioning the hard disk or caused by computer viruses or detoxification.


Inhon is only responsible for hardware maintenance and repair, and is not responsible for the rescue and preservation of customer information. Prior to maintenance or repair services by Inhon, customers should backup data or take measures to prevent damage to data.
Inhon Computer Co. Ltd reserves the right to printed or online modifications, descriptions, and explanations of above warranty information.

Using the Recovery CD

  1. Place Recovery CD into external optical drive.
  2. Connect the external optical drive to the CarbonBook via USB.
  3. Turn on CarbonBook and immediately press and hold F2 to enter the BIOS setup screen.
  4. In the BIOS setup, use the arrow keys to move the cursor to
    Boot Options → Boot Type → Windows 8 mode.
  5. In the BIOS setup, use the arrow keys to move the cursor to Exit → Exit Saving Changes.
  6. After rebooting, press F12 and select boot from external optical drive.
  7. Once booted from the optical drive, Recovery action will start automatically.
  8. Recovery action status will increase from 0% - 100%
  9. Upon completion at 100%, the following two messages will appear before the computer shuts itself down.
    The operation completed successfully.
    Boot files successfully created.
  10. 10. Remove the external optical drive and reboot the CarbonBook with its original factory settings.
